Radio For Milwaukee will make WYMS the center of a new citywide educational initiative. RFM will train students in broadcast and music production skills. We will involve them in operating the station and create a Web-only radio station to be run by and for students.

Training opens the doors for careers in music, marketing, public affairs and broadcasting. And it provides critical academic motivation for all students, from the gifted to the under-achieving.

Milwaukee School Board broadcasts on WYMS

As a service to Milwaukee parents and the community, WYMS will continue live broadcasts of Milwaukee School Board meetings.

The broadcasts allow parents, teachers and citizens to hear the School Board make decisions in a public forum on issues concerning the district.

This also furthers the district's formal mission of ensuring "that maximum educational opportunities are provided for all students to reach their highest potential, so that students achieve educational and employment goals, and parents choose the Milwaukee Public Schools to educate their children."

Meetings are held at the MPS Central Office, 7448 W. Main St.
